My Goal for the Program

When I applied for this program in 2004, I wrote:

"My goal is to prepare myself for work I will enjoy while my children grow into adulthood, continue to enjoy the rest of my life....I see versatility in this degree, the potential to return to a business setting or continue adding onto my education..."

I think this learning goal has been achieved. I have a new skill set I think I can parlay with skills predating this program - and my individual interests - to find satisfactory employment.

My Work Goals

House-shopping years ago, my requirements were: a house our family could fit into, and one we could afford. My view of employment is similarly practical.

  • A Job I Fit Into - Work that's a good fit for me will use my education, values and unique traits. It may or may not be a media specialist position. The position has to be a geographic fit as well. At some future time my husband and I may desire to move to another location in GA or the southeast but right now we want to stay put.
  • A Job I Can Afford - My family will, within a couple years, depend on my salary and benefits exclusively. I need an income commensurate with family's needs.
